Bionic eye for the blind

The Bionic eye is in the process of being fine-tuned by a team of US and German scientists.
A mini video camera built into glasses linked to a computer chip forms a bionic eye.
The working: The camera beams the images that the camera captures to the chip translates them into impulses that the brain can interpret. Presently, the visually-challenged can see blurred images only. But it will be of big help for patients with most common cause of blindness and macular degeneration.
